StatCaddie Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 August 2026

StatCaddie is published by Synergy Software Solutions (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what control you have. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

What we collect

Location

Precise location while a round is in progress, and only then. On the phone this comes from Google Play Services location; on a Wear OS watch it comes from Health Services during the golf exercise session.

It is used to compute distances to the green and to hazards, to place shots, and to advance holes automatically. It is stored on your device. It is not uploaded.

The current release does not upload live-round leaderboards. Features that need a cloud service report that no backend is configured.

Accounts

The current release has no account creation or sign-in and does not collect a name, email address or user ID. Firebase adapters in source are inactive because no Firebase configuration is bundled.

If you type your official handicap index into the app for reference, that value is stored only on your device. It is never uploaded and it is never used in any StatCaddie calculation.

Rounds, scores and statistics

Scorecards, shot data, statistics and posted scores live in a local database on your device. They are not uploaded or synced in the current release. Peer benchmarking is unavailable unless a backend is configured.

Photos and video

Swing videos and round photos stay on your device. No media-upload service is configured. Swing pose analysis runs entirely on your device using Google ML Kit.

Diagnostics

The current release does not enable Firebase Analytics and sends no developer analytics or crash reports.

Optional supporter purchase

Google Play processes the optional one-time supporter purchase. StatCaddie receives the product identifier, purchase state and purchase token needed to acknowledge and restore it. We do not receive or store your card number or other payment details.
